Abstract
The genitourinary tract disease is a frequently encountered problem in the childhood as well as the adult. So that, the authors observed 650 patients with the genitourinary tract disease, under the age of 15 years, who were admitted to the Department of Pediatrics and_ Urology at Severance Hosptal from May, 1959 to April, 1972.
The age and sex incidence, congenital and acquired disease, organic incidence and spec el disease were artily zed, and data is summarized as fcnovis;
1. The incidence of the genitourinary tract disease is 5.2%(650 cases) of total 12, 536 admissions, and sex incidence showed that males predominated in a proportion of 3:1. And also, peak age incidence was between the ages of 6 and 12 Years`46.9%).-- -
2. The incidence of congenital disease was 33.1% (215 cases) and acquired was 66.9%(485 cases).
3. The organic incidence sl ov, ed that renal disease was the highest(60.6%) and ureter disease was the lowest (O. 3%).
4. The most common disease of the genitourinary tract diseases was glomerulonephritis(41 1%) and next was idiopathic nephrotic syndrome(10.7%).
5. The injury was 4. 6% of tonal cases and that of urethra and kidney were over 90%.
6. The genitourinary tract tuberculosis was almost renal tuberculosis.
7. The genitourinary tract stone was almost lower urinary tract stone.
8. Tumors were about 3.7% of total eases and Wilm¢¥s tumor was the highest.
